A section of the Internet or a local network under the control of one administrator or authority. Also called an "administrative management domain."
A single AD may include more than one server (computer or system that acts as a host or provides other resources on the Net) and may be addressed by one or more domain names (Network addresses). It might also have multiple administrators.
