Class A Network
A group of Internet Protocol (IP) network addresses that can accommodate 16 million host computers. The global Internet can accommodate only 127 of these groupings, so the committee that assigns Internet address numbers gives them out rather sparingly.

Technically, a Class A network devotes 8 bits of the 32-bit IP address to the network number and format information, leaving 24 bits for the host address.
