| isr.co.ro : glossary - Immediate delivery
- A setting on many e-mail programs that tells the software to send out each e-mail message as soon as you've indicated you're finished with it. If you're not currently connected online and you use a dialup connection, most programs will start the connection process automatically.
The alternative is deferred delivery, in which the program holds completed messages in an outbox folder until you next connect to the Web and issue a command to send the messages in the outbox.
