Particularly, a set of available commands organized in groups and presented so you see only the title of each group, until you indicate you want to see the individual choices. In most popular graphical-user interfaces, the top-level menus are generally presented across the top of the entire screen (on the Macintosh) or across each on-screen window (in Microsoft Windows). You then click and hold on the group title to "pull down" the individual choices.
